BENTONVILLE - An organization geared to encouraging sportsmanship through the game of golf may find its way to Bentonville's largest, unused park space.
Representatives with First Tee of Northwest Arkansas will go before the Bentonville City Council when it meets as a Committee of the Whole Monday to discuss possibilities for utilization at the park.
According to First Tee's web site, www. thefirstteenwar. org., the organization's mission is "to impact the lives of young people by providing learning facilities and educational programs that promote character development and life-enhancing values through the game of golf."
The First Tee has programs in Rogers, Bella Vista and Fayetteville.
The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at the Council Chambers, 305 S. W. A St.
The council will also discuss the following items • A presentation by the Tree and Landscape Advisory Committee on the design for a gateway location at the intersection of Southeast Walton Boulevard and Interstate 540 • An update on the status of the implementation of the city's General Plan • A code enforcement update • A rezoning from medium-density residential to residential office for the Bryant Addition.
