GENTRY — A rural Gentry man is offering a reward to help catch the vandals who dumped fish guts into his car.

According to Eldon Cripps, between 10: 15 and 10: 50 p. m. Aug. 16, someone dumped several buckets of freshly cleaned fish remains inside his car, which was parked at the end of his driveway on Cripps Road.

“ The fish were most likely caught at Grand Lake or Lake Eucha on Saturday, or possibly Friday night, ” Cripps said. “ There was a mixture of catfish, white bass and crappie. ”

Cripps reported the incident to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office and the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. Cleaning up the mess took hours.

“ I am offering a $ 500 cash reward to the first person providing information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible, ” Cripps said.

Cripps said that someone out there may know who did this and not even know it.

“ Whoever did this may not be bragging about what they did to me, but you don’t catch that many fish and not brag about it to someone, ” he said.
