More candidates file for municipal office

BENTONVILLE — Ten more candidates have filed petitions for municipal offices to secure their places on the ballot — six on Thursday and four on Friday, the seventh and eighth days for filing petitions.
Candidate packets are available throughout the county, but they must be returned to the Benton County Clerk’s Office by noon Aug. 26.
The following candidates filed for office Thursday: Avoca City Council Kathleen L. Hansen, Position 1; and Darlene Gregory, Position 4. Cave Springs recorder Nichole Hart. Gateway City Council Jimmy J. Walden, Position 2; and Don A. Deckard, Position 5. Gateway recorder-treasurer Shellie Deckard.
The following candidates filed for office Friday: Bella Vista City Council Larry R. Wilms, Ward 2 Position 2. Bentonville City Council James Dotson, Ward 4 Position 1. Pea Ridge City Council John Cody, Ward 2 Position 1. Rogers City Council Bob Goodwin, Ward 4 Position 1.
