Badwater to play Decatur Bulldog Days in October

DECATUR - The Decatur Parks and Recreation Committee announced on July 17 that the band Badwater will perform during the car and motorcycle show at the Bulldog Days Festival in October.
Summer Hogshooter, the wife of lead singer Bobby Hogshooter, said the band's music is influenced by Cross Canadian Ragweed, Alabama and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Band members Bobby Hogshooter, Garron Marsh, Travis Downs and Arie Bird are originally from Kansas, Okla., but now live in Tahlequah, Okla.
"The neat thing about performing in Decatur," Summer Hogshooter said," is the band members know so many people from the area."
The band performs in Texas, Arkansas, Missouri and Kansas.
The car and motorcycle show will be held on the afternoon of Oct. 4. Matt Davis will also perform throughout the day, and the Parks and Recreation Committee is looking for more musicians interested in playing for the festival.
"We would really like to see some bluegrass on Friday night," said David Cook, chairman of the committee.
