Conservation District to meet July 15
The Benton County Conservation District will meet at 1 p.m. July 15 at the Cadron Creek Catfish House in Harrison.

Lewis and Clark Outfitters is teaming up with the city of Eureka Springs for a day of paddling at Lake Leatherwood.
The July 26 event - called the Northwest Arkansas Paddle Festival - is being held in place of Lewis and Clark's annual Beaver Paddle Festival due to high water and flooding in the Beaver Town area. There will be kayak and paddling clinics, demonstrations by vendors, games and other activities. Lewis and Clark Outfitters has stores in Rogers, Fayetteville and Little Rock. In August, knife enthusiasts, buyers and collectors will gather at the Embassy Suites and John Q. Hammons Convention Center in Rogers for an A. G. Russell Knife event. There will be a free informal gathering from 7: 30 p.m. to 10: 30 p.m. Aug. 15. A banquet at 7 p.m. Aug. 15 will offer another opportunity to meet knifemakers and manufacturers. Banquet tickets are $ 45 and are limited. On Aug. 16-17, approximately 150 handmade knifemakers and 20 knife manufacturers will display knives and accessories for sale at the Hammons Center.
Show hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 16, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 17. Admission is $ 10 and covers both days.
