Celebrations to light up the skies

BENTON COUNTY — The skies above Benton County will be lit up with public fireworks displays starting Sunday with a display in Pea Ridge.
Local celebrations include the following:
• Pea Ridge: At 5 p. m. Sunday at the Pea Ridge Assembly of God Church, there will be a car show, singing and inflatables. A fireworks display will be held at dusk north of Arkansas Highway 72, in the undeveloped parts of the Summit Meadows housing division.
• Bella Vista: A fireworks display will begin at dusk, or shortly after 9 p. m., Thursday at the Loch Lomond dam. Parking will be in the field below the dam and near tee box No. 5 on the Scotsdale Golf Course. Those planning to attend are asked to allow plenty of time to arrive and park.
• Rogers: A fireworks show will begin at 9: 30 p. m. Thursday at Veterans Park.
• Gentry: A fireworks display will be held at dusk Friday at the city park, with events throughout the day at the park.
• Siloam Springs: A fireworks display will be held at 9 p. m. Friday at Cecil Smith Airfield.
• Pinnacle Hills: A fireworks display will be held at dusk Friday near the Pinnacle Hills Country Club in Rogers. A public viewing area has been designated for the fireworks show near the country club, in a vacant field immediately south and across the street from the Metropolitan State Bank building on Champions Drive. Free parking for tailgating and fireworks viewing will be available.
