Texas Lone Star Club

The club will meet at Simple Pleasures in Bella Vista on Thursday. A social hour begins at 6 p. m., with dinner at 7 p. m. The cost is $ 18 each. Following dinner there will be line-dance lessons and dancing.

The deadline for reservations is June 30. Make checks payable to the Lone Star Club and mail to Linda Bruce, 23 Musselburgh Ln., Bella Vista, AR 72715.

Anyone who has ever lived in Texas is welcome to join. Membership is $ 5 per year. Membership checks should be mailed to Richard Young, 9 Mc-Collough Pl., Bella Vista, AR 72715.

The club will tour Peel Mansion and Gardens in Bentonville at 10 a. m. Wednesday. Members also will go to Crystal Bridges at the Massey and the Wal-Mart Visitors Center. Following the field trip, members will have lunch at an area restaurant. Granny’s Quilts of Love

The group met May 20 at Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church in Pea Ridge. Sixteen members were present.

As of that meeting, 6, 128 quilts for the Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock had been made. The next meeting will be at 9: 30 a. m. June 17 at the Presbyterian Church in Pea Ridge.

The program, presented by Ryan Smith, will be part two of “ How To Set Up a Web site. ” Part one was presented at the May meeting. The meetings are open to the public, and guests may register for upcoming classes at the meeting. Getting Started With Computers: 1 p. m. to 3 p. m. June 11. Fee is $ 6 for members and $ 25 for nonmembers.

Fees for eight-hour classes are $ 24 for members and $ 40 for nonmembers. Four-hour classes are $ 12 for members and $ 30 for nonmembers. Classes are held at the Computer Club classroom,. There also will be free open house computer help clinic from 10 a. m. to 1 p. m. June 18 at the Computer Club classroom in the Highlands Crossing Center.
