BENTONVILLE - Bentonville police arrested two men Friday in connection with the theft of a vehicle.
Cody Shane DeShields, 19, and Ricky Senesackda, 18, both of Rogers, were arrested on felony charges of theft of property and fraudulent use of a credit card.
According to a news release from the Bentonville Police Department, the arrests were in connection with the May 9 theft of a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The vehicle was taken from the owner's driveway after the keys were mistakenly left in the vehicle. Several credit and debit cards were also left in the vehicle, according to the release.
The victim attempted to cancel the cards, but the cards were used to make purchases amounting to several hundred dollars, the release states.
Police obtained surveillance video from stores and were able to obtain images of DeShields and Senesackda as they made purchases with a stolen card, according to the release.
The vehicle was found Thursday in the driveway of an unoccupied home, the release states.
DeShields and Senesackda are being held in the Benton County Jail awaiting a bond hearing.
