Bella Vista man accused of raping 7-year-old girl

BENTONVILLE - A Bella Vista man confessed to raping a 7-yearold girl and taking nude photographs of the child, according to court documents filed Friday.
Doug Dwayne Sillivan, 30, was arrested Thursday on charges of rape, engaging children in sexually explicit conduct for use in visual or print medium and pandering or possessing visual / print medium depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child.
Bella Vista police began investigating the case after receiving a possible childsexual-abuse complaint from the Arkansas State Police Crimes Against Children Division. The child was interviewed at the Children's Advocacy Center of Benton County, where she disclosed numerous instances of abuse from Sillivan. The girl also disclosed Sillivan had taken photographs of her, according to an affidavit of probable cause in the case.
Sillivan was interviewed by police and admitted raping the child. He also admitted to taking nude photographs of the child, according to court documents.
Sillivan is being held in the Benton County Jail in lieu of $ 120, 000 bond.
His arraignment is scheduled for 8: 30 a.m. June 23 in Circuit Judge David Clinger's court.
