A story in Wednesday’s edition of The Benton County Daily Record contained an error. Daniel Oxford, a candidate for county coroner, has no “ family connection” to either a funeral home or the Benton County Coroner’s office. A brother of Oxford’s formerly served as a chief deputy with the coroner’s office and as chief of police in Sulphur Springs, but no longer holds either of those positions. The Benton County Daily Record apologizes for the error.
