The club is celebrating 36 years as a federated club. Among the many Bella Vista projects to improve the community are tree planting at Tanyard Creek, the Living Memory Garden at the Bella Vista Country Club, grounds upkeep at the cemetery, and the Visitors Center on U. S. Highway 71.

This year, the club added helping with the grounds at the Bella Vista Veterans Wall of Honor and working with Cooper Elementary School to establish a butterfly nature garden.

The club gives a $ 1, 000 horticulture scholarship to a University of Arkansas student each year. The club's annual plant sale will be May 3 at the Tanyard Creek pavilion in Bella Vista. A biannual garden walk and flower show on alternate years are also presented by the club. This year, a juried flower show with the theme "Lazy Daisy Summer"will be held June 7 at the Bella Vista Community Church.

The club meets the fourth Wednesday from January through April and resumes in September at United Lutheran Church, 100 Cooper Road in Bella Vista. A social time starts at 11: 30 a. m., with refreshments at noon, followed by a meeting and program.
