BENTONVILLE — Representatives from Arvest Banks in Bentonville, Fayetteville, Prairie Grove, Rogers, Siloam Springs and Springdale came together Wednesday to make a joint donation to the Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter’s capital campaign, “ Give Every Child a Chance to Heal. ”
The six banks, represented by Bob Boehmler, David Short, Lisa Ray and Donny Story, presented a multi-year pledge of $ 50, 000 to Tim Nichols, executive director of the children’s shelter.
“ As a community-based bank, we make it a priority to invest time and resources in the communities we live in, ” said Boehmler, executive vice president / loan manager at Arvest Bank, Bentonville. “ We’re exited to contribute to this capital campaign that will support a larger facility and help the program to expand its services to meet area children’s needs. ”
The “ Give Every Child a Chance to Heal” capital campaign is a fundraising effort by the children’s shelter to raise $ 9, 040, 000 that will create an endowment to support the operations of a new, larger facility and expand services to provide long-term care for children in need.
“ It is especially exciting for us to receive this support not only from Arvest Banks in Bentonville, Rogers and Siloam Springs, but also from Springdale, Fayetteville and Prairie Grove, since over 20 percent of the children we serve come from Washington county, ” Nichols said. “ We are extremely grateful for the generosity of Arvest Bank and appreciate the commitment they have shown to improving the lives of abused and neglected children from all across our state. ”
