Local dancers do well at competition

Three students from the Classical Ballet Academy in Bentonville earned high scores at the Youth America Grand Prix Semifinal Competition held Feb. 1-3 in Irving, Texas.
Elijah Lancaster, 11, of Bentonville; Peyton Etzel, 10, of Rogers; and Meryl Engelke, 13, of Rogers, placed in the top 12 category in their age division. Lancaster was invited to attend the Youth America Grand Prix Finals in New York City on April 17–22.
The three dancers will perform when the Classical Youth Ballet presents “ Adventures With Madeline” at 3 p. m. May 11 at the Arend Arts Center at Bentonville High School.
