Start! Heart Walk planned for Saturday in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE - The American Heart Association's annual Start ! Heart Walk will be held Saturday at Bud Walton Arena at the University of Arkansas.
The noncompetitive, 2. 3 mile walk - which will begin at 10 a.m. - raises funds to support heart disease and stroke research and educational programs in northwest Arkansas. Teams are made up of employees from local companies, along with friends and family members of all ages. Participants who are heartdisease or stroke survivors wear red caps.
The Heart Walk, which has raised almost $ 600 million for research and education since it was launched in 1994, will take place in about 450 cities this year.
