BENTONVILLE — On Friday, 360 fourth-graders from Centerton-Gamble, Central Park, Baker and Sugar Creek elementary schools will attend Make a Splash with the Project WET Sustainability 360 Festival at the old Tiger Stadium site on Tiger Boulevard.

Students will participate in six hands-on, interactive, fun activities while learning about water quality, pollution prevention, the water cycle, watershed protection, erosion reduction and water use and its management.

Volunteers from the Arkansas Natural Resource Conservation Services, Wal-Mart, Nestle Waters North America, and Cargill participated in a four-hour training in February, becoming familiar with the Project WET method of teaching. The volunteers will lead students through the six waterrelated activities at the festival. Del Monte Foods, Johnson Diversey, the U. S. Geological Survey and General Mills will also participate on event day.

Two hundred and twentysix students will attend a morning session beginning at 8: 50 a. m. and complete six activities by noon; the remaining students will attend an afternoon session beginning at noon and complete the activities by 2: 30 p. m.
