BENTONVILLE — Randal Pinkett, accomplished businessman, writer and scholar, is also the season-four winner of the television show “ The Apprentice” with Donald Trump. Pinkett’s appearance at the Wal-Mart General Office on Saturday is in commemoration of Black History Month.

“ When I speak to the Wal-Mart associates, ” Pinkett explained, “ I will be emphasizing giving back. Part of the legacy of African-Americans is giving back. I think it’s incumbent on the megacorporations and multinational companies today to follow that example. ”

Pinkett’s biography is included on his Web site at www. randalpinkett. com. On the site, he states that he firmly believes that “ to whom much is given, much is expected. ”

His address Saturday will reflect his personal, core beliefs, as well as his eagerness to share what he has learned about starting and managing businesses. Pinkett co-founded his first business, MBS Enterprises, to sell compact discs and cassette tapes out of his dormitory in college. He used the proceeds to fund high school outreach activities.

BCT Partners is Pinkett’s fifth and newest venture. He continues to maintain a business relationship with his close friends and college classmates, some of whom are in key positions at his new business. Pinkett holds five academic degrees and was the first African-American to receive a Rhodes Scholarship at Rutgers University. A published writer and academic scholar, Pinkett will be in Little Rock Sunday to promote his latest book, “ Campus CEO: The Student Entrepreneur Guide to Launching a Multimillion-Dollar Business. ” He will be at a Wal-Mart on Baseline Road to mingle with future business leaders.

“ The book, ” Pinkett said, “ is my own story, along with other young entrepreneurs’ experiences. Bill Gates, Michael Dell and Sean P. Diddy Combs are a few of those profiled. I also provide all the tools, tips and resources necessary to start a business.

“ I’m looking forward to being in Bentonville, too. It will be my first time to visit Wal-Mart’s headquarters. ”
