Christians not obligated to let lawbreakers take over
Jim Miranda does not support lawbreakers. Then we must agree that regardless of nationality, creed or color (including white ), no matter what station or status, a person found here illegally by any lawenforcement officer should be respectfully taken into custody, photographed, fingerprinted and their correct name determined, along with any aliases.
Then they should appear before a judge and be respectfully returned to the border from whence they came. If they show up again, without proper papers, they should spend a year in jail, then be returned again. The third time they are found here illegally, they can spend five years in prison.
Of course we get the "Christian"argument. You HAVE to accept everyone, because you're a Christian.
Question: Being a Christian, you come home to find a stranger in your house. The person explains he is out of work and just wants to better his life. He asks to stay and you, being a Christian, agree. The next afternoon, you come home to find two people. The next afternoon, three ! Must you, as a Christian, let them take over your house ?
Now, you can throw the Bible around all you want, but letting folks come in uninvited - and people telling you that because of your biblical views, you can't turn them away - is ridiculous. Churches have people walk in all the time asking for handouts. Pastors have to determine if they are truly needy or able-bodied beggars living off Christian generosity. Also, what is "sensible border security ? "How do we determine who gets a "guest-worker visa ? "Everyone ? I agree that everyone needs to be treated with respect and decency - even Americans. But no - we're the doormats. Come on in and wipe your feet on us.
