Shelby, Goins to wed

Regena and Ron Shelby of Rogers are pleased to announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Abigail Blaine Shelby of Dallas, Texas, to Christopher Matthew Goins, also of Dallas.
The couple plan to marry at 6 p. m. Saturday, May 24, 2008, at the First Baptist Church in Rogers.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Kahlyene and Fred Vanzant of Lowell and Lora Shelby of Conway and the late Billy Shelby. She holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing management from the University of Arkansas. She is employed as a college coordinator for Watermark Community Church.
The prospective groom is the son of Linda Goins of Mansfield, La., and the late Herb Goins. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Stephen F. Austin University and a master’s degree in Christian education and counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary. He is employed as a financial adviser for Edward Jones.
