Script-writing class offered in Bella Vista
Posted on Sunday, May 4, 2008
Ashley Edwards from the Communications Department at Northwest Arkansas Community College in Bentonville will offer a script-writing class in the fall. The class will meet from 5: 30 p.m. to 7: 30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays from Oct. 20 through Nov. 5 at the Highland Crossings Campus in Bella Vista.
Edwards teaches communications, writing and theater classes at the college, but she also has a background in children's dramatic productions and church-service dramas.
Anyone interested in exploring creative script writing is invited to join the class, regardless of previous experience. The Village Players, as part of the group's partnership with NWACC, will perform scripts written by class members in a reader'stheater format at the end of the session.
Edwards will do a presentation about the planned format and content of the class at an open meeting of The Village Players at 7 p.m. May 13 at the United Lutheran Church on Cooper Road in Bella Vista.
