FORT MORGAN, Ala. — Julie LeAnne Dorsey and Collier Wenderoth Smith were united in marriage at 5: 30 p. m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at Dunes Beach with the Rev. Steve Durkac of Mobile, Ala., officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Peggy and Don Dorsey of Siloam Springs. She is the granddaughter of Barbara and T. W. Akins and the late Blanche and Merrill Dorsey, all also of Siloam Springs.
The bridegroom is the son of Nancy and Harry Robinson and the late Willard Smith Jr., all of Fort Smith. He is the grandson of Nancy and Collier Wenderoth and the late Catherine and Willard Smith, all also of Fort Smith.
Guests were seated in white chairs with lanterns at the end of each aisle. Nuptial music was by violinist Penny Shenkel.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a strapless taffeta gown featuring a metallic beaded lace bodice and a drape at the waist. The gown had a trumpet skirt and fell into a sweep train. Her veil was accented with beaded flowers and a scalloped edge. She carried a bouquet of pink, orange, red, yellow and white roses.
Carrie Collins of Siloam Springs was her sister’s matron of honor, and Angie Kestner of Fayetteville was her sister’s maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Embry Curry and Stacy Shankle, both also of Fayetteville; Meredith Phillips of Dallas; Kelley Crisp of Texarkana, Texas; Kelly Bulloch of Little Rock; and Brooke Johnston of Rogers.
They wore crinkle chiffon dropped-waist dresses in marine blue featuring ruched bodices, sweetheart necklines and white ribbons at the waist. They carried bouquets of multicolored roses wrapped in hot pink ribbon.
Tripp Smith of Fort Smith served as his brother’s best man. Groomsmen were Drew Finkbeiner of Little Rock; Dr. Michael Curry and Kirk Robinson, both of Fayetteville; Preston Phillips of Ponte Vedra, Fla.; Shannon Lewis of Destin, Fla.; Sam Vachon of Austin, Texas; and Brent Cox, also of Fort Smith.
Niece of the bride Mikayli Kestner of Fayetteville was flower girl. Ring bearers were nephews of the bride Corbin Collins and Camden Collins, both of Siloam Springs, and nephew of the bridegroom Turner Robinson, also of Fayetteville.
A reception followed at East Meets West Beach House in Fort Morgan. Lanterns lined the boardwalk leading to the reception. Dining tables were centered with tall glass vases filled with calla lilies and white floating candles surrounded by smaller vases filled with pink, orange and yellow carnations. The ceiling of the reception area was lined with rows of white tulle and accented with white lights.
Reception music was by the band Grits ’n’ Pieces of Daphne, Ala.
The bride has a bachelor’s degree in business marketing from the University of Arkansas and is a medical sales representative for Quest Diagnostics.
The bridegroom has a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from the UA and is an art director for Mars Advertising in Bentonville.
After a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple will reside in Fayetteville.
