Spin Cycle presents another installment of “All The News That’s Fit To Razz”... It was recently reported that Lauren Conrad makes a whopping $ 75, 000 for each episode of MTV’s reality show The Hills, about the relationship dramas of privileged California 20-year-olds. And co-stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt make a hefty $ 65, 000 per episode. Just when you thought the cast couldn’t be any more annoying.

Campaign off icials for presidential candidate Sen. John McCain have spoken out against pop singer Madonna for displaying an image of the Republican next to one of German dictator Adolf Hitler during her new concert tour.

After all, besides being born in 1889, what do the two men really have in common ? Avril Lavigne, it appears, is not “too sexy” for Malaysia, authorities decided, overruling an earlier decision to cancel the singer’s concert last week.

And “too sexy,” it appears, is not Malaysian for “pouty and screechy.” Neil Diamond is offering a refund to fans who turned out for an Ohio State University concert last week in which the singer, who has since been diagnosed with acute laryngitis, sounded raspy.

Talk about a Diamond in the rough.

Britney Spears’ manager says the singer, who appears in commercials for MTV Video Music Awards, will not be singing and dancing at this year’s event after last year’s widely panned performance of “Gimme More.” Less, in this case, really is more. Mackenzie Phillips, whose drug addiction once led to her firing from One Day at a Time, last week was arrested in Los Angeles International Airport on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance at a security screening.

After all, dealers are very scarce at her planned destination — New York. Kenny Rogers last week released a new album exclusively through Cracker Barrel restaurants. Kenny Rogers: 50 Years is a celebration of the 70-year-old country star’s five-decade music career.

And his less-than-5-year-old facial features. R&B artist R. Kelly is at the center of yet another scandal, a South Africa fraud scam. He denies knowing anything about a woman who allegedly swindled money — said to be used for an R. Kelly concert — from investors. And we believe him. Like R. Kelly has anything to do with grown women.

American Idol judge Paula Abdul says that, despite reports otherwise, she couldn’t be happier that she, Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson will be joined by a new judge — songwriter Kara DioGuardi — for the show’s eighth season. When asked in an interview about where DioGuardi will be sitting, she responded “Hopefully next to me.” So she can help prop Abdul up. Straight up, e-mail jchristman@arkansasonline. com Spin Cycle is a weekly smirk at pop culture.
