FAYETTEVILLE — Monty Python’s Spamalot will be the Arthurian crown jewel in the 2008-09 season for the Walton Arts Center, 495 W. Dickson St., Fayetteville.
The touring production of the runaway Broadway hit, winner of the 2005 Tony Award for Best Musical “lovingly ripped off” from the film Monty Python and the Holy Grail, will be the opening offering in the center’s Procter & Gamble Broadway Series, Dec. 16-21.
Subscriber ticket prices will range from $ 45-$ 75. Individual tickets will go on sale in July at a price to be determined.

COMEDY CONNECTIONS Another touring Tony Award-winning Broadway show, Avenue Q, will be a part of the center’s Comedy Connections series, Feb. 17-22, 2009 ($ 17-$ 55 ). The 2004 Tony Award-winner for Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book is a sort of adult Sesame Street spoof with a cast of risque puppets that make it suitable for mature audiences only.
