SnowClear Simple System

What is it ? An embedded electronic radiant heating system that uses cable and mesh technology to melt snow and ice from residential driveways and walkways.

How’s it work ? SnowClear Simple operates with a switch placed in the consumer’s garage. When snow starts to fall, the owner switches the system on and an automatic timer begins. The system automatically shuts off when time runs out.

What’s good about it ? Helps prevent slips and falls caused by ice left behind by a shovel or plow, along with health problems associated with manual clearing of snow and ice. Systems are available in full coverage, tire track and double tire track configurations. Has few moving parts for troublefree operation.

Price: An average-size 700 square-foot driveway installation costs approximately $ 6, 500 (to calculate the estimated end cost of a system, visit www. evercle arradiantsystems. com / calc. aspx ). System requires installation by a licensed electrician. EverClear Radiant Systems, the manufacturer, will work with your contractor, builder or paver or will provide information about installers in your area; e-mail info@ecrsmail. com or call (866 ) 400-3277.
