Thursday, Subiaco Academy Exchange Club to hold spaghetti dinner The Exchange Club of Fayetteville will host its fourth annual spaghetti dinner from 5-7 p. m. Thursday at Ramay Junior High School. Cost is $ 7. The event will include a raffle for items such as a Toshiba DVD player, an iPod shuffle and handcrafted Adirondack chairs. The club helps prevent child abuse. — ARKANSAS DEMOCRAT-GAZETTE Ozark Folk Festival starts Thursday The 61 st annual Ozark Folk Festival will be Thursday-Sunday in Eureka Springs. The festival begins with the traditional Queen’s Contest at 7 p. m. Thursday at the Auditorium. Noah Earle will perform. The event is free. Greg Klyma will serve as guest host for this year’s festival and will perform Friday and Saturday nights at the Auditorium. Patty Larkin will headline Friday night’s performances at 7: 30 p. m. at the Auditorium. Tickets are $ 20. The annual songwriting contest will be from 10 a. m.-2 p. m. Saturday in Basin Spring Park, followed by the Folk Festival Parade at 2 p. m. Two “songwriters in the round” shows are planned for Saturday, as well. Natalia Zukerman, Danielle Miraglia, Raina Rose and Maia Archote will perform from 4-6 p. m. Admission is $ 17. Miraglia and Rose will join Klyma, Tom Bianchi, Jonathan Byrd, John Elliot and Chris Bradley for another songwriters’ showcase at 8 p. m. Cost is $ 25. Both shows will take place at the Auditorium. Folk icon Melanie Safka will close the festival with a 2 p. m. performance Sunday at the Auditorium. The concert is part of her “Motherhood of Love” world peace tour. Tickets are $ 25.
