Health units to offer free flu shots this week

The Arkansas Department of Health will offer free flu shots Thursday and Friday as part of a statewide mass dispensing campaign.
While vaccinations are free, residents covered by Medicare or Medicaid are asked to bring their cards. Health department workers will file claims to help defray the cost of the vaccinations. Residents in Benton County may receive shots from 8 a. m.-5 p. m. Friday at Phillips Park in Bentonville or at St. Francis House annex in Siloam Springs. Washington County residents may receive shots from 8 a. m.-5 p. m. Friday at Arvest Ballpark in Springdale. Boone County residents may receive shots from 8 a. m.-6 p. m. Friday at Eagle Heights Baptist Church in Harrison.
Residents of Carroll County may receive shots from 7 a. m.-5 p. m. Friday at First Assembly of God in Berryville.
Crawford County residents may receive shots from 8 a. m.-5 p. m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Van Buren. Residents in Franklin County may receive shots from 8 a. m.- 6 p. m. Thursday at the fairgrounds in Ozark.
Johnson County residents may receive shots from 8: 30 a. m.-3 p. m. Friday at the fairgrounds in Clarksville. Logan County residents may receive shots from 8 a. m.-4: 30 p. m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Paris or 8 a. m.-4: 30 p. m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Booneville.
Madison County residents may receive shots from 9 a. m.-5 p. m. Friday at the Huntsville First Baptist Church. Residents of Newton County may receive shots from 7 a. m.-6 p. m. Friday at the fairgrounds in Jasper. Scott County residents may receive shots from 8 a. m.-5 p. m. Friday at Memorial Hall in Waldron. Residents in Sebastian County may receive shots from 9 a. m.-4 p. m. Friday at the House of Praise in Fort Smith.
After the mass vaccination dates, flu shots will be available for $ 20 at county health offices statewide.
