Jasper woman, 61, dies in vehicle crash

A Jasper woman died in a single vehicle crash Friday.
Linda Freeman, 61, was eastbound on Arkansas 16 in a 2002 Toyota Corolla, according to the Arkansas State Police.
After running off the road, Freeman overcorrected and traveled north, crossing the road and striking a tree at the Nail community, the report states.
She was pronounced dead at the scene by Newton County Coroner Lawery Hill.
Police estimate the crash occurred at 7: 50 p.m.
