The accreditation represents the highest status that can be awarded to an organization that provides services for people with disabilities. Only five other organizations in Arkansas have achieved the award. The center is a nonprofit organization with preschool locations in Fayetteville, Springdale and Siloam Springs and group homes in Springdale. The group also provides employment information and training for the disabled.

The event will feature 15 gaming systems on 15 big screens, including Xbox 360, Playstation 2 and Nintendo Wii. There will be food and prizes throughout the day for all participants. The event will provide information about programs offered by the Academy of Arts in a carnival atmosphere. The day will include games, prizes, drawings, exhibits by art students, faculty performances, fall registration information and crafts. Summer camp participants also will perform.
