Two people were killed in separate accidents on Arkansas highways Friday and Saturday, the Arkansas State Police said.
Richard Garner, 38, of El Paso died Saturday about 4: 31 a. m. when the pickup he was driving on Arkansas 167 north of Bald Knob left the road, hit a culvert and overturned, throwing him from the vehicle, state police said.
Samalita Martin, 43, of Malvern was killed Friday about 10: 45 p. m. when she ran into the back of an unidentified vehicle on her Harley-Davidson motorcycle, according to state police.
A crash summary said Martin was westbound on U. S. 270 in Hot Springs and the unidentified vehicle was attempting to make a left turn onto Westinghouse Drive from the turning lane. When the vehicle stopped, Martin ran into it, fell off the motorcycle into the eastbound lane and was hit by an SUV.
She was pronounced dead at the scene, the report said.
