Argument over chain saw led to killing, Little Rock police say
Posted on Friday, July 4, 2008
A man assaulted Monday after an argument over a broken chain saw died Wednesday night, and the medical examiner ruled the death a homicide on Thursday, Little Rock police said.
Robert Ware, 58, of 1312 S. Jones St. was working Tuesday cutting branches for a neighbor when his saw broke, according to a police report.
Ware and the neighbor argued over who would pay for the repairs, and the unidentified man picked up a bicycle and struck Ware in the side, police said.
The blow lacerated Ware’s liver, police said.
About 7 p.m. Wednesday, Ware died of his injuries and an autopsy was performed Thursday.
No arrest had been made Thursday night.
