Governor’s appointments

Three people have been appointed by Gov. Mike Beebe to a state board that was created to make sure that home inspections are done by people who are competent for the task.
The appointments announced Tuesday by the governor’s office were Greg Quinney of Hot Springs, Lydia Reynolds of Bauxite and Bradley Williams of Little Rock, all to the Arkansas Home Inspector Registration Board.
They were appointed for terms expiring Jan. 26, 2010. Quinney replaces Don Loudon. Reynolds and Williams are reappointments.
The board was created in state law to consist of registered home inspectors; licensed real estate professionals, licensed real estate appraisers, and consumers.
They were among 27 appointments announced by Beebe.
The others:
To the Boiler Advisory Board for terms expiring Jan. 14, 2012: Steve Case, Batesville, reappointed; Richard Mille, Fort Smith, reappointed.
Dr. Laura Hutchins, Little Rock, to the Breast Cancer Control Advisory Board for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2009, replacing Stella Hart.
Marty Shell, Fort Smith, to the Arkansas River Basin Interstate Committee, to serve at the will of the governor, replacing Buck Shell.
Valerie Watson, Bella Vista, to the Criminal Detention Facility Review Committee for Judicial District 19 West, for a term expiring Jan. 14, 2012, replacing Amber Eckert.
Artee Williams, Sherwood, reappointed to the Arkansas Public Employees’ Retirement System board of trustees for a term expiring March 9, 2014.
To the State Rehabilitation Council: For terms expiring Feb. 1, 2009, Travis Beebe, Ward, replacing Mary Ann Sullivan; Mary McClain, Van Buren, replacing Edward Norwick; and Rev. Mary “Bean” Murray, Little Rock, replacing Jason Sasser. For terms expiring Feb. 1, 2010, Daniel Holland, Little Rock, replacing Kelley Williams; Eddie Miller, North Little Rock, reappointed; Bronwyn Palmer, Little Rock, reappointed; Greggory Lawrence, Magnolia, replacing Wesley Eddington; Lynn Carver, Springdale, replacing Rhonda Young; Eric Treat, Conway, replacing Bobby Brown. For terms expiring Feb. 1, 2011: Staci Croom-Raley, Maumelle, replacing Jim Bradshaw; Michael McCreight, Bryant, replacing Dale Hoff; Myrtle “Ruth” Pellow, Crossett, replacing Traci Ketchum; Kyle Sharp, Harrison, reappointed; Freddie Smith, Fulton, reappointed; Dianna Varady, Little Rock, replacing Christy Holt.
Beebe also made these appointments to local governmental bodies, all for terms expiring Dec. 31: David Hallman, Eudora, to the Chicot County Quorum Court, District 7, replacing Larry Armstrong.
Craig Stephenson, Eudora, to the Chicot County Quorum Court, District 9, replacing J. Alton Fryer.
Ed Seay Jr., Dardanelle, to the Yell County Quorum Court, District 10, replacing Donna Lyons.
