Posted on Saturday, March 29, 2008
The University of Arkansas at Fayetteville will build a $ 20 million Nanoscale Science and Engineering Building, the University of Arkansas System board of trustees voted Friday.
The building will provide laboratories for students and faculty from several colleges to conduct research in the field of nanotechnology.
The building’s location on or near the Fayetteville campus has not been decided, nor has its exact size. It will be financed by $ 16 million in higher-education bonds and $ 4 million from the state’s general fund.
The board selected HDR Architecture Inc. of Alexandria, Va., to design the building and CDI Contractors LLC of Little Rock to build it.
