— ARKANSAS DEMOCRAT-GAZETTE Pettigrew Day planned for April 12 The Pettigrew community and the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History in Springdale will present Pettigrew Day, a reunion for friends and residents of Madison County, at 1 p.m. April 12 at the Pettigrew community building. The theme for this year’s event focuses on the experiences of those who left the Ozarks to live and work in other parts of the country from the Great Depression through the 1960 s. Shiloh Museum staff will be on hand to copy photographs and paper items, and representatives from the Madison County Genealogical and Historical Society will answer local history questions. A benefit supper to help finance the upkeep of the community building will be held 5: 30-6: 30 p.m. Cost is $ 5 for adults and $ 2 for children under 12. At 6: 30 p.m. storyteller Arthur Haught will speak, followed by a program on Ozark migration by Brooks Blevins, professor of history at Lyon College in Batesville. Students from Baker Elementary School in Bentonville will perform, and the center will have guests speak on child abuse in Benton County.
