Suit over bullying settled for $15,000

The Springdale School District will pay $ 15, 000 to settle a federal lawsuit on behalf of a disabled student whose parents said he was mistreated.
Roger and Marilyn Poerschke sued in 2006 in U. S. District Court in Fayetteville on behalf of their son.
The lawsuit said the boy was bullied at school in 2003 and that the school district and several employees failed to ensure his safety.
The lawsuit was settled Wednesday, court documents state.
