Gov. Mike Beebe made the following appointments, his office announced Wednesday:

To the Arkansas Higher Education Coordinating Board: Charles Allen of Little Rock, replacing Mark Smith; Dr. Joe Bennett of Harrison, replacing David Damron. Their appointments expire May 1, 2013.

To the Arkansas Rice Research and Promotion Board: John Alter of DeWitt, Marvin Hare Jr. of Newport, Wayne Wiggins III of Jonesboro, Rusty Smith of Cotton Plant and Rich Hillman of Carlisle. They are all reappointed with terms expiring June 30, 2009.

To the State Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors: Garland Camper of Maumelle, replacing Gary Anderson; Eddie Hawkins of Texarkana, who is reappointed; and Patricia Roberts of Prescott, replacing Mary Smith; all with appointments expiring June 1, 2010. Ron Ocker Sr. of Van Buren replaces Danny Wasson with an appointment expiring June 1, 2008.

To the Arkansas Wheat Promotion Board: Morris Crandall of Tuckerman, Cal McCastlain of Little Rock, Jackie Prince of Biscoe, Blake Swears of Carlisle and Barry Walls of Harrisburg, all reappointed with terms expiring June 30, 2009. Tim Smith of Clarendon is reappointed with a term expiring June 30, 2008.

To the Arkansas Fire and Police Pension Review Board: Camden Mayor Chris Claybaker, replacing Jim Dailey; Heber Springs Mayor Jackie McPherson, replacing Larry Brant. The appointments expire Jan. 1, 2008.

To the Criminal Detention Facility Review Board, Judicial District 10: Donald Flentroy of Crossett, replacing Arnold Blankers, with a term expiring Jan. 14, 2011; John Kidwell of Warren, who is reappointed with a terms expiring Jan. 14, 2010.

To the Delta Cultural Center Policy Advisory Board: Calvin Johnson of Pine Bluff, replacing Theman Taylor; Billy Ray of Helena, who replaces Carl Hutchens. Their terms expire Oct. 1, 2009.

To the State Teacher Assistance Resource Commission: Marian Lacey of Little Rock, replacing Deborah Caspell, with an appointment expiring June 30, 2011.

To the Baby Sharon Children’s Catastrophic Illness Grant Program: John Marschewski of Little Rock, who is reappointed, with a term expiring May 1, 2011.

To the Black River Technical College Board of Directors: Scott Trammel of Pocahontas, who is reappointed, with a term expiring July 1, 2014.
