Gubernatorial appointments

Gov. Mike Huckabee has appointed these people to boards and commissions, his office said Wednesday Donald Williams of Farmington to the Northwest Technical Institute Board of Directors. Williams, owner of Williams Tractor, will serve until June 30, 2011. He replaces Edward Bradford.

Ernest Swearingen of Fort Smith to the State Board of Sanitarians. Swearingen, an environmental health specialist with the Arkansas Department of Health & Human Services, will serve until June 30, 2011. He replaces Tammy Almand.

Richard Deweese of Green Forest to the Arkansas Workforce Investment Board. Deweese, a store manager / purchaser, will serve until June 1, 2010. He’s reappointed.

Pam Vaughn of Fordyce to the Advisory Council for the Education of Gifted and Talented Children. Vaughn, a school teacher, will serve until July 20, 2009. She’s reappointed.

Kim Cole of Bryant to the Advisory Council for the Education of Gifted and Talented Children. Cole, a school teacher, will serve until July 20, 2009. She replaces Ronnie Erwin.

Cynthia Montgomery of Mc-Gehee to the University of Arkansas at Monticello Board of Visitors. Montgomery, a certified public accountant, will serve until the drawing of lots. She’s reappointed.

Frank Wilson of Rison to the University of Arkansas at Monticello Board of Visitors. Wilson, secretary / treasurer of Wilson Brothers Lumber Company Inc., will serve until the drawing of lots. He’s reappointed.

Ian Beer of Monticello to the University of Arkansas at Monticello Board of Visitors. Beer, plant manager of Leer Limited Partnership, will serve until the drawing of lots. He’s reappointed.

Rhonda Mullikin of Star City to the University of Arkansas at Monticello Board of Visitors. Mullikin, superintendent of the Star City School District, will serve until the drawing of lots. She’s reappointed.

Michael Scott of Hot Springs to the Heating, Ventilation, A / C Refrigeration Licensing Board. Scott, chief building official for the city of Hot Springs, will serve until June 30, 2010. He replaces Jimmie Deer.

Susan Carter of Jonesboro to the Home Health Care Service Agency Advisory Council. Carter, owner / president of Home Health Professionals Hospice, will serve until June 30, 2009. She’s reappointed Lynne Hill of Camden to the Board of Examiners in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology. Hill, an audiologist with the Alexander Human Development Center, will serve until June 30, 2009. She replaces Becky Del Rio.

Dr. Stephen Seidman of Conway to the Arkansas Science and Technology Authority. Seidman, dean of the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at the University of Arkansas at Central Arkansas, will serve until January 14, 2010. He replaces Brian Porbeck.

Rebecca Dennison of Little Rock to the Sex Offenders Assessment Committee. Denison, an attorney with Hartsfield, Almand & Denison, PLLC, will serve until July 1, 2009. She replaces Michael Allison.

Vickey Magie of Conway to the Arkansas Board of Dispensing Opticians. Magie, a licensed optician, will serve until June 30, 2009. She replaces Marlin Freeman.

Dr. Dan Gardner of Benton to the Arkansas Board of Dispensing Opticians. Gardner, an opthamologist with the Arkansas Eye Center, will serve until June 30, 2009. He’s reappointed.

Kenneth Musteen of Little Rock to the Arkansas Deaf and Hearing Impaired Telecommunications Services Corporation. Musteen, deputy director for Arkansas Rehabilitation Services, will serve until June 1, 2009. He’s reappointed.

Dillon Harper of Dennard to the Van Buren County Quorum Court, Justice of the Peace, District 9. Harper, a logger, will serve until December 31, 2006. He replaces Randy Churches.

Tommy Poole of Eudora to the University of Arkansas at Monticello Board of Visitors. Poole, a farm manager, will serve until the drawing of lots. He’s reappointed.

Dr. George Haas of Sherwood to the Arkansas Board of Dispensing Opticians. Haas, a self-employed optometrist, will serve until June 30, 2009. He’s reappointed.
