GREENWOOD — A local female teacher charged in November with having sex with a 14-year-old boy was charged Wednesday with two counts of violating another accuser, a former high school student who was a minor at the time.

An attorney representing Deanna Bobo, 38, of Greenwood entered an innocent plea to the charges Wednesday in Sebastian County Circuit Court.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit by Greenwood police detective James Flynn, the student told investigators that he had sexual contact with Bobo twice between Aug. 15, 2000, and May 31, 2001, while he was a sophomore in high school. The affidavit said another student witnessed the sexual contact between Bobo and the student accuser.

Bobo, a special education teacher at Raymond E. Wells Junior High School, is charged with two counts of first-degree violation of a minor, a Class C felony that carries penalties of three to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $ 10, 000.

Circuit Judge Norman Wilkinson ordered Bobo to have no contact with the new accuser or his family.

Bobo was charged in November with one count of first-degree sexual assault after a 14-year-old student said he’d had sex with her. She has denied the accusation.

Bobo was suspended from her job with pay after the first charges were filed in November. School Superintendent Kay Johnson was not available to comment on Bobo’s job status Wednesday.

Flynn’s affidavit said that the department has been investigating allegations of sexual acts between Bobo and former students since her November arrest.

Bobo executed a $ 10, 000 signature bond on the latest charges, said deputy prosecutor Alison Houston. Bobo was freed on bond pending trial on the sexual assault charge filed against her in November.
